Now a non-profit organization, I built the MEIC from a small research consortium to an emerging non-profit aimed at providing entrepreneurial and applied research support to Canada’s mobile industry. I am responsible for strategic direction, partnerships, programmes and operations. More here

Manager, Mobile Experience Innovation Centre
The MEIC is a public/private partnership led by OCAD, whose aims are to foster collaborative innovation and build capacity in Ontario for the next generation of mobile experiences. I manage all aspects of the MEIC, including Business Development, Outreach/Events, Research, Operations and Communications. Successful grant writing, program development, research partnerships and evangelism for the mobile sector in Canada are among recent achievements, as well as leading research for Innovation + Insight – Mapping Ontario’s Mobile Industry, published in April 2009.
Producer – Interactive Ontario, Toronto
Programmed and produced panels, conferences, research projects, etc that engaged the interactive and digital media industry in Ontario, facilitating business development and knowledge exchange for commercial, R&D and policy-focused purposes. Content, operations and brand management. Successful public funding grant and application development for interactive media industry events, budget and resource allocations, project management. Conferences/Iniatives included ICE 2008, GameON: Finance 08, iLunch6.0, etc.

Strategic Foresight, Research and Brand consulting for public and private sector industry, developed active research methods and processes. Clients/partners included the OCAD, Creative Commons Canada, Firefly Foundation, Motorola, BumpTop Technologies.
• Provided expertise, leadership and collaboration in the following areas: innovation and strategy, intellectual property, product/service development, user experience and community engagement.
• Scenario writing, trend analysis, business modeling, concept development.
• Research Lead with Director Alexander Manu’s recent book The Imagination Challenge: Strategic Foresight in the Global Economy (Manu, A, Peachpit Press, 2006), developing content, writing and editing.
• Developed educational programming (undergraduate curriculum, workshops, charettes, etc)
• Developed and structured BISC workshop modules and events.
• Coordinated and implemented online/offline communications, publications, branding, outreach.
• Led the development of an internal publishing system, design and editorial standards for Perspectives in Strategic Foresight, the BISC quarterly journal.
